We are the UK's leading retailer of automotive, leisure and cycling products and through our Autocentres we are also the UK's leading independent car servicing and repair operator.
With over 466 stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland we employ approximately 11,000 staff. We also sell over 14,000 different product lines in store and online and have significant ranges in car parts, cycles, in-car technology, child seats, roof boxes, outdoor leisure and camping equipment. What sets us apart from other retailers is the helpful advice we provide as well as additional services in store called “wefit” for car parts, child seats, satellite navigation and in-car entertainment systems, and a "werepair" service for cycles.
Our customers lead busy lives — there aren’t enough hours in the day. The school runs, the commute, the pick-ups and drop-offs, the visits to families and friends, the holidays and free time. Each year families make thousands of journeys as essential parts of their daily lives. They need to keep moving for work and family and they want to travel for their holidays and enjoy active leisure time wherever possible. Our customers are living their lives on the move.
At Halfords we understand how journeys are at the heart of work and family life, and through our great products, expert advice and service we are focused on helping our customers stay on the move. We stock the products they need to maintain and enhance their vehicles and we have cycles for every age and discipline.
Through our expert colleagues we offer helpful advice and added value services to ensure our customers make the best choices around their “life on the move”.
Our two-year graduate programme provides graduates with a great opportunity to gain experience in our Commercial and Marketing teams, spending time in a Buying role and in Marketing or E-Commerce and is a great foundation for building your career at Halfords.
As part of your induction you will spend time working at the heart of our business in our stores. When you return from store, you will have one placement in a Buying team and the second placement will either be in Marketing or E-Commerce.
Our Head Office is a great place to work. As soon as you walk through the doors, you soon realise that you are in an enthusiastic, friendly and open environment. Our open plan design allows colleagues to share ideas and really pull together as a team. If it’s quiet thinking time you’re after, there's also opportunity to escape away from the hub of the trading floor to the meeting rooms dotted around the building.
We don’t believe in bureaucracy, so if you have a great idea that will help our customers, you will be able to make it happen. All in all, we’re positive that you too would find Halfords an excellent place to work.
