The aim of Bright Space is to improve the life chances of children and young people through the development of their creative skills and their engagement in arts and cultural activities. We do this by running activities that partner young people with the best creative people, artists and cultural organisations to create work that will amaze and delight. We want children and young people to be challenged and to surpass themselves in their work with us and so be able to imagine themselves and their world differently.
We're interested in activities that contribute to long term changes in the way that schools and other institutions value and offer a creative education. So we talk to and develop those people that work with young people in how this might be done and give them the skills and confidence to be leaders of change themselves
We then share what we've found out about the outcomes for young people as a result of their engagement in creative and cultural learning and the difference it has made to them. We use our research and the findings from our programmes to promote public debate and to influence policy makers.
